Throughout the second year of project implementation, a comprehensive array of capacity building interventions were carried out. This involved the delivery of onsite training for teachers, health promotion specialists, local government representatives, and local CSOs, starting initially with a "ToT" approach, followed by cascade trainings, specifically with onsite training sessions within the three regions targeted for in-depth interventions (Durrës, Lezhë, Berat), as well as online training in other regions throughout Albania. In total around 3,600 individuals were trained nationwide. As a result of the cascade training sessions, there was an increase in the level of knowledge, as follows:
- 14.2% in the level of knowledge about NCD diseases
- 19.0% in the level of knowledge about physical activity
- 15.1% in the level of knowledge about healthy nutrition
- 14.4% in the level of knowledge about children’s mental health
- 7% in the level of knowledge about drug and alcohol prevention
The e-learning platform has continued to empower around 3800 individuals nationwide, the majority of whom are teachers. Moreover, 580 teachers have earned one professional credit recognized by ASCAP (Agency of Security and Quality of Pre-University Education), by training through e-learning platform training modules:
- Personal Hygiene Module
- Comprehensive Sexual Education Module
- The Importance of a Healthy Diet Module
