Projekti “Shkollat për Shëndetin” po shqyrton aktualisht nevojën urgjente për të ngritur dhe forcuar rolin dhe përgjegjësitë e “Koordinatorëve të Shëndetit” The project "Shkollat për Shëndetin" is currently addressing the pressing need to establish and strengthen the role and responsibilities of "Health Coordinators" at school level in Albania in close collaboration with all relevant actors. The designation (position) of "Health Coordinator" is deemed essential in order to ensure the presence of a responsible (designated) staff member in each school who should be responsible for the overall coordination and harmonization of health promotion programs implemented at the school level.
In 30 schools designated for onsite interventions during the first implementation year, a network of health coordinators in schools has been successfully established. In periodic meetings, the network is operational and actively exchanging respective experiences. Health coordinators will foster and monitor the implementation of health promotion programs and serve as key advocates for inducement of positive behavioral changes in children and their respective families. In addition, the project "Shkollat për Shëndetin" is currently supporting the development of a practical manual (guide) that will assist the health coordinators in mainstreaming their activities and integrating them in a cross-curricular manner into the annual plans of their respective schools.
The primary responsibility of the Health Coordinator, also known as the "Liaison Health Officer," is to work closely and collaboratively with all relevant school staff, the parents' council, the children's governing structures, the local government, the local education office, the local health care unit, civil society organizations, and the entire community to ensure the timely and effective implementation of annual workplans for all health promotion interventions and programs envisaged at school level. “Koordinatorit të Shëndetit” konsiderohet thelbësor për të siguruar praninë e një punonjësi të caktuar në çdo shkollë, i cili duhet të jetë përgjegjës për koordinimin dhe harmonizimin e përgjithshëm të programeve të promovimit të shëndetit që zbatohen në shkolla.
Në 30 shkolla të caktuara për ndërhyrje të thelluar gjatë vitit të parë të zbatimit në rajonet Elbasan, Korçë dhe Kukës, është ngritur me sukses një rrjet koordinatorësh të shëndetit në shkolla. Rrjeti është funksional nëpërmjet takimeve periodike, përmes të cilave shkëmbejnë përvojat, sfidat dhe mundësitë për tejkalimin e tyre. Koordinatorët e Shëndetit do të nxisin dhe monitorojnë zbatimin e programeve të promovimit të shëndetit dhe do të shërbejnë si avokatë kryesorë për nxitjen e ndryshimeve pozitive të sjelljes tek fëmijët dhe familjet e tyre përkatëse. Gjithashtu, projekti “Shkollat për Shëndetin” po mbështet zhvillimin e një manuali (udhëzuesi) praktik që do të ndihmojë koordinatorët e shëndetit në zbatimin e aktiviteteve dhe integrimin e tyre në aktivitetet ndërkurrikulare në planet vjetore të shkollat respektive.
Përgjegjësia kryesore e Koordinatorit të Shëndetit në shkollë, i njohur edhe si “Personi ndërlidhës i shëndetit”, është të punojë ngushtë me të gjithë stafin përkatës të shkollës, këshillin e prindërve, strukturat drejtuese të fëmijëve, pushtetin vendor, zyrën arsimore lokale, njësitë vendore të kujdesit shëndetësor, organizatat e shoqërisë civile dhe gjithë komunitetin për të siguruar zbatimin në kohë dhe efektiv të planeve vjetore të punës për të gjitha ndërhyrjet dhe programet që lidhen me promovimin e shëndetit të parashikuara në nivel shkolle.
